The real trek through the middle world of The Mooseman begins here. A winged creature latches itself onto my body, preventing me from venturing forward. Is it some type of guardian? Or perhaps a warning not to proceed further? After some careful steps, I'm finally able to pass and am set free of the obstruction, thanks to some helpful souls still taking up residence in the middle world.
But those souls can only do some much, for I'll have to sneak my way past Yoma the witch. What does she want? I'm not about to stick around and find out. Perhaps flipping between the dead world and the real world will help my get by. On top of the next hill over, idols play a music tune that I'll need to repeat as a password to prove myself worthy to continue.
A giant flying bird whisks me away to the Upper World, a place of luxury in the sky above the clouds. Here, I'll need to collect 3 artifacts to create one giant artifact, the Bird Shaped Idol, so that I may pass. But beware the flying serpents that protect the area. But a nice change of pace to control the flight of the bird, rather than walking for miles and miles.
In order to reach the promise land, I'll have to first fly through the storm. Thunder and lightning crash through the sky and the sun is blocked and all turns to darkness. Turbulence rises, as does mythical entity Voipel bent on my destruction. Flying through the storm, Voipel gives chase as I'll need to avoid red clouds or else start the flight path again.
But there is light at the end of the darkness. Though it may be cold and windy, it marks the end of my travels should I make it to the top of the mountain and solve one last puzzle using idols.
