The Park ending sends Callum's mom searching through the funhouse before finally coming to terms with reality. The darkest secrets are held at the lowest levels of herself.

Let's continue our journey through The Park with part 2, picking up right were we left off at the entrance of the sideshow. Still on the hunt for Callum, Lorraine searches the various booths in the sideshow area of Atlantic Island Park. What at first appears to be empty and void of life soon becomes true in a deeper sense of the meaning. A dead corpse found behind one of the booths also presents itself the opportunity for a Chad the Chipmunk jumpscare. Was it all in Lorraine's mind? Her mental health quickly deteriorates and appears to ready to pop some pills to help with that. No doubt, the pills made things worse as she begins to hallucinate. Perhaps the boogeyman is all in her mind as well?

The walk around The Park finally leads back near the entrance. Lorraine's emotions spill out as she can no longer contain her hatred for the Park, children, and perhaps life itself. No time to waste. She's confident that Callum has run inside the one attraction she's yet to visit. Into the mouth of the witch, she enters the funhouse. Might the boogeyman be awaiting her arrival?

The funhouse itself proves to be a dark and creepy attraction of wooden characters and crazy mirrors. Stay in there long enough and your eyes are no doubt going to play tricks on you. Plenty of funhouse jumpscares to be experienced. And that's before Lorraine even makes it to the basement. Or basements.

Lorraine travels down flight after flight of stairs with each floor similar to the previous. But more evil and graphic each time. The horror builds as blood stained objects, countless pill bottles, and various drawings appear and deteriorate through each level. Some of the objects might explain Lorraine's true feelings that she's been venting of late. But when she finally locates Callum she'll have to face a boogeyman of her own or give in to the pressure.

About the Game & Story:

Set in a creepy amusement park hiding a dark and sinister secret, The Park is a first-person psychological horror experience focused on exploration and storytelling.

A day at the park... a lost teddy bear... a missing child. As the sun sets over Atlantic Island Park, you must explore its dilapidated rides in search of your son, Callum. As darkness falls, you will experience panic and paranoia through a narrative written by a team of award winning storytellers.

Amusement parks are happy places, filled with the joys of childhood and the exhilarating rush of fantastic rides to be dared. That was the vision of eccentric business man Nathaniel Winter when he opened the doors to Atlantic Island Park in 1977.

Unfortunately, the park's history turned out to be one plagued by tragedy and drama. Its freak accidents, grotesque killings and ghostly hauntings have inspired many a sensational headline, and locals worry the park is far from done claiming innocent lives.

For Lorraine, it's where her worst nightmare began.

WARNING: This experience deals with subject matter that might prove emotionally distressing to some. Player discretion is advised.

Riddikore Notes:
- The storytelling is really good, however reading many of the notes proves to be a hassle with the very fine print. Luckily the voice acting is top notch. The Park game's voice of Lorraine provides an emotional rollercoaster ride (pun intended) through the mental state of the lead character. The character of Lorraine essential moves the story and plot forward with each new attraction she visits. But of course, some of the game's undertones can be left to the player's interpretation. I wouldn't be surprised to find some nice easter eggs hidden throughout the game, as any good exploration game would do.

My gameplay of The Park was recorded on PC using Xbox gamepad controls.
