Dr. Phyllis Edmonds guides me on the journey through Jean's memories, first stop being the Devlin Mine. An accident occurred there which had significant impact to Jean's mind. Was she possibly traumatized by the unfolding of the events?
Before heading into the mine itself, there's plenty to explore up on the surface. The inventory system is introduced, allowing me to teleport back to home base, also known as The Case, to store any item I think my come in handy in the future. After all, I'm only allowed to carry one item at a time on my person. A note left by a miner named Dan reveals his fear when he realizes he's forgotten the air compression manual somewhere deep in the mine beyond the blast doors. A metal plate has been etched with the lock combination to enter the side entrance of the Devlin Mine.
Once inside the mine, I'll use the Devlin Mine Beam Engine Diagram to set some valves to the correct position in order to drain the entrance of the flooded waters. Then, take a lift down into the mine itself. Curiously, a movie projector has been knocked over and is into two pieces. Perhaps I can find a way to fix it and unlock the feature presentation. Using a hydraulic press, I smash open a glass bottle, taking one of the pieces to use as a cutting device on the air compressor hoses.

About the Game & Story:
Ether One is a first person adventure that deals with the fragility of the human mind.
There are two paths in the world you can choose from. At its core is a story exploration path free from puzzles where you can unfold the story at your own pace.
There is also a deeper, more adventurous path in which you can complete complex puzzles to restore life changing events of the patients history in order to help the validation of their life.
Parallel paths make Ether One accessible to a range of skilled players. Invite your friends and family around to pick their brains for help taking on challenging environmental puzzles, or soak in the atmosphere of Pinwheel at leisure. From a young age we enjoyed the first person puzzle games that required you to write cryptic notes on spare pieces of paper to unravel mysteries. Ether One aims to bring back pen and paper puzzle solving, whilst still being accessible and optional for people not wanting to get stuck and frustrated on the harder puzzles.
