TRIGGER WARNING! 3 More Potentially Controversial Gaming Opinions!
82I am no stranger to having opinions that people disagree with, and some of those opinions can be seen as somewhat controversial. In the past I have said how I don't believe Super Mario RPG is a real mainline Mario Game. Well, here's your trigger warning as I unload 3 more opinions in gaming that are potentially controversial.
Number 3 - I'd Rather Play ANY Madden Game Than Plan ANY RPG
RPGs (role playing games) are wildly popular, and I can appreciate the time and effort people pun into them. What I cannot do is agree with WHY they are popular. I hate grinding, I have no time to grind, and have never seen the appeal to that part of an RPG. I also don't care about wizards, warlocks, orcs, and elves. World of Warcraft was always lost on me because I didn't care about the era the game was set in. Super Mario RPG bastardized the Mario Universe and stole characters to pad a story and game. Like if it wasn't Mario but generic hero 427 who you played would the game be as popular? Regardless, I hate RPGs, especially turn-based RPGs, and would rather play any version of Madden NFL Football. And I'm a Bears fan, or at least a recovering one, so you know I haven't seen good football in DECADES!
Number 2 - The Wii U is a Better and MORE Underrated Console than the Sega Dreamcast
Don't get me wrong, the Dreamcast is a mighty fine system, but when I look at which system has the better library (and controller for that matter), the Wii U wins hands down! We got amazing titles that have been ported to the Switch such as Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, an amazing remaster of DuckTales and so much more. While I never loved the gimmick of the Wii U GamePad, the wireless pro controller is a damn fine way to play and much more comfortable than the Dreamcast's controller.
Number 1 - I'd Rather Play on ANY Clone System via HDMI Then Ever Play on a CRT AGAIN!
I've never liked CRTs, even back in the day. I think the images are muddy, I hate scanlines, just CRTs can go away and never come back. I know cheap HDMI Clones aren't the most accurate for sound and video, but I still prefer them to CRT TVs.
