Easter is right around the corner, which means Easter Eggs eggs! Well, there are plenty of Easter Eggs in video games, from cheat codes and unlockables to different skills and abilities. Normally an Easter Egg is something you unlock in a game, but what about an Easter Egg around a price of hardware? A controller to be specific? Will, let's take a look and listen to this Video Game Easter Egg and check out it the Special Mario Sound Effects In Switch Online Controllers.

Shortly after Nintendo announced the Switch Online service, they also announced controllers dedicated to the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super NES. These controllers promise a more authentic overall gaming experience playing retro games, such as the classics from the NES, but they also offer a little more.

Nintendo thought it would be important to add a little something special for those who spent the money on the dedicated NES Switch Online controllers, so that's why they added a little something. See, when you start up the Switch NES Online service, you get the coin sound, but you also get Second audio cue. When the library of games loads, the Mario power up sound effect from Super Mario Bros plays! I didn't expect this, but now it's one of my favorite things about using these controllers.

Did you know about this special sound effect?
