Tyrian 2000 - Engage Mode - Part 11 (Savara V)
With Trent on Deliani, allied with Gencore, Microsol no longer has any golden opportunity to assassinate the ace pilot. But shortly afterwards, a planet-wide catastrophe is reported on Savara : the oceans have risen dramatically, swallowing entire continents within hours, forcing the population to grab all available ships to escape. The water rise is found to be due to an unknown energy beam fired at the planet, which caused a gravitational disturbance.
Gencore, having learned from Trent everything he knows about the Gravitium, is certain that same ore was used on Savara. Its gravity-altering properties must have been harnessed into some kind of weapon. Microsol, and Microsol only, can possibly have had the knowledge, resources, and evil for such an inhumane test of weapons.
Transon sends Trent to Savara in an attempt to confirm Gencore's suspicion. But Trent's mission is interrupted when Emperor Milktoe of Savara informs him of a crazed lunatic trying to use the chaos to destroy as much of Savara as he can. Whether or not that lunatic is an agent of Microsol or a third-party anarchist, Trent sets course to eliminate him.

Two words :
"You can friggin' destroy the blimps on Engage?!"
That's actually the main thing to say about this level. If you keep the Firebomb attached and stay in a blimp's face, you can actually destroy it. Sometimes you'll accidentally touch it, dealing damage at the price of a bit of your shields. Having a decently-powerful weapon level for the Atomic Railgun is probably necessary, too.
The level designs change with the difficulty, sometimes. The first Savara was a prime example, but what about here? It's supposed to be a flooded, apocalyptic background. I don't know if it's the Detail level or whatever (I think it was on Normal), but it doesn't show.
The chaos on Savara shows, as the Microsol ships are far more disorganized. You basically get many blimps thrown at you, avoided as easily as ever. No more turrets or giant pink planes.
The only part worth mentioning is the mid-boss, another Z-29 Central Defense Station. If you don't destroy it fast enough, it starts descending, ignoring you. Just before it, I discovered I can destroy blimps, and after it, you get only blimps, so you can rack some points there. The final boss is a more powerful blimp ; stay in the center to avoid its lasers, and it will never harm you.
Easy level.
