How you wear the glitch-equipped non-inventory objects depends on which weapon/shield/lantern/etc. have you removed. Since the bow and arrow are two separate wields, you can get some very fun combinations.

Since it's still just decorative, it's just a tidbit, but from the more interesting sort:
If you wear something instead of the arrow and you draw a real one the vanished object appears above you upon taking a step. This is the first time I could see a model that disappeared because of this trick to return. I wonder where is it stored till then... By all means, I experimented with it more to finally be able to smuggle a non-inventory item in my inventory, but it's not happening yet.

Bonus fun:
A simple removal of the arrow (it's easy to accidentally remove an armour piece or the bow, too) makes the Avatr continue targeting and trying to shoot. Then a regular bow is drawn and all is right again.
