Ok, I'll admit, not very gamedev related, but it is something I was working with lately and figured I would do a quick video. Blender has some very powerful text creation and rendering features, but the process certainly isn't intuitive. So if you need to create a title screen, credits, menus, etc, you should certainly consider Blender and this tutorial will show you how.
