Combine shooting plus driving in a world full of zombies and you get non-stop bloody action. That's what you will witness in this fun 3D zombie game called Zombie Roadkill 3D. There are 2 missions; shooting zombies, and driving your van to escape. You must use the machine gun to shoot all waves of zombies in the area. You can also use the rocket launcher to kill zombie hordes,. Once you are cleared in this task, you must now drive your vehicle and kill zombies on the road. Be sure to slam the zombies attacking your van on other broken cars. Try to aim for headshots and multiple kills for more points.

There are few things in gaming quite so fun as the wanton destruction and annihilation of mindless zombie hordes. Sure, there will be people who -claim- that silly little games about certain flying members of the avian persuasion are more enjoyable, but they're just in denial. Zombie Roadkill 3D is an excellent example of just how enjoyable zombie killing games can be.

With a name like Zombie Roadkill, you'd imagine that this would be just another side scrolling driver where you shoot apart zombies. That assumption would, however, fail to take into consideration the "3D" part of the name. There are indeed parts where you're driving along shooting zombies, but that's not the entire game.

As can be expected from the name, the game is in 3D. The graphics are as top notch as can be expected for a mobile game, and they are rather impressive-looking. The zeds (as all the cool-kids, or perhaps, those of us who wish we were cool-kids, *cough*) are varied enough that there's very little repetition among them. Play long enough, and you will spot repeated models, but for the most part, this is a minor niggle. That said, the textures and models for the zeds are great looking, or rather, as great as one can look being an undead abomination intent on feasting upon the still-warm flesh of the living.

The environments are just as detailed, with a lot of love and care going into the different levels. There's a lot of detail to be seen here and there, and it makes the wanton zombie destruction all that much more fun. This is true for both the stationary and the driving levels, so there's a lot to see. The animations for the zombies can be a little wooden at times, but generally they do well enough as undead abominations that are only just barely sapient. They won't be winning any awards for graphics, but then again, the zombies are barely on screen long enough for that to be a problem as you'll be blasting them apart within seconds.

With both gameplay modes, most of the action is controlled by swiping and tapping. Swiping in the stationary levels will move your targeting reticle around to aim at the different zombies on the screen. Tapping on the fire button will, obviously, fire whatever gun you're using at the time, be it standard machine guns or more explosive anti tank artillery. In the driving levels, swiping will move you left and right to avoid wrecked cars or to smash into (and thus wreck) zombies.

As you play, you'll be able to purchase and unlock different weapons. While you may start out with a dinky little machine gun, which may be adequate for a start, you'll eventually be able to buy bigger and badder weapons arming yourself with the anti-zombie equivalent of the BFG, definitely something to look forward to.

Well, if that's not enough to tempt you to to get onto the zombie destruction bandwagon, then nothing will. But for now, I'll leave you to enjoy Zombie Roadkill 3D, have fun!
