Gru is not in his secret lab. And this means party and comical adventures for the cute yellow minions, in this fun mobile game called Despicable Me: Minion Rush. The task is simple: you need to control your minion and run on the location's track without crashing. But once you run enough, you will be able to unlock higher levels. Aside from running, you also get to fight bosses that appeared in the Despicable Me movies. Collect as many tasty bananas as you can and use them in the shop to buy new minions or enhance the power-ups you can get.

Poppadom? Banana! Para tu! Ok, enough silliness. Everyone loves the minions from the Despicable Me franchise. They're silly, they're ridiculous, and they're a whole lot of fun. This game, Despicable Me: Minion Rush, places you in the tiny little shoes of one of those minions in a fun-filled and exciting endless running game.

It's worth mentioning that the game looks absolutely gorgeous. There's a great deal of detail everywhere, and everything is just as pretty as the movies. There are no cut corners here, the models are excellent, the environments are superb, and the colors are vibrant. Everything is also animated well, with just about everything in the environment having some sort of quirky and amusing little animation. This is especially true for the the player controlled character, who runs throughout all of the levels willy nilly with just the same sort of manic impulsiveness you'd expect of one of the minions.

The sounds are equally impressive, with all of the minions in the game spouting the same adorable gobbledygook mish-mash of nonsense that was a large part of their appeal. The music is just as impressive, with the background sounds sure to get you in just the right maniacally mindless mindset to take on the role of a minion. Add the wonderfully made sound effects to the mix, and you've got a real winner that'll be sure to have you cackling along in no time.

As with other endless runners, the controls are fairly simple. Simple swipes of your finger will move your chosen minion left or right to intercept bonuses, bananas, or what have you. You can also, of course, run into and smash other minions, gleefully partaking in the same Loony Tune-esque violence the minions perpetrate upon one another in the movies.

Just like any other endless running game, you'll be moving from point A to point infinity (and beyond! *cough* ahem... excuse me, severe case of the 90s acting up, I'll get over it) while dodging obstacles and gathering points. The obstacles in the game are all sorts of things that will be familiar to fans of the movies. And the points that you collect are, as aforementioned, bananas, a particular fruit much enjoyed (to the point of obsession) by the minions. There are also challenges to be attempted, such as bopping a certain number of minions in a run to name one. They're all great fun, so don't be afraid to explore.

In addition to the endless running parts of the game though, there are also various other little minigames within this little gem. You'll face off against villains from the movies, fly around on Agnes' fluffy (so much so that one could die) unicorn gathering bananas, and even face off against the evil purple minions from the second movie. All in all, you get a lot of game for this one download, and it's absolutely worth it.
