You're supposed to be living peacefully in the swap, then suddenly they came without warning. Time to get your gun and defend your property, in this mobile shooting game called Swamp Attack. The mission is to defend your house from zombie critters, alligators, and even evil swamp monsters. Shoot them all to complete the level. You can also drop items to slow them down, like stop posts, refrigerators, and batteries. You will earn coins from each monster or critter you will kill. Use the coins in the shop to purchase new weapons or stock up more traps to deploy on your missions.

```
Get off my lawn you young whipper-snapping toxic-irradiated vermin! Say hello to my boom stick! Ahem. Yeah, that's pretty much what the entire Swamp Attack game is about, you sitting on your rocking chair, peacefully minding your own business, when all sorts of mutated and irradiated swamp baddies start wading towards you intent on ripping your face off. And all you've got is your trusty shotgun, along with a bunch of other fun weapons should you manage to unlock them.
Defense shooters are a lot of fun, and this game is no exception. Of course, it does take a bit of a novel approach to things, whereas a lot of these games feature zombies or some such, this instead has typical swamp critters like gators or snapping turtles. Sure, they may have been mutated by the chemicals in the swamp, but that just makes things more fun.
The graphics are, like many games in the genre, done in 2D. That's not to say the visuals of the game are bad though, in fact, they're top notch. The animations are all really smooth, and the different sprites are all drawn really well, if a bit cartoony. The cartoony-ness makes the game all that much more enjoyable though, as it can be a lot of fun to watch all the different critters coming at you in wave after endless wave. You'll also get a few surprises here and there, as UFOs start swarming around right alongside raccoons paddling towards you on lit sticks of dynamite followed by blood-sucking mosquitoes the size of your head. Great fun.
The sounds are also pretty great, with the music just perfect for the rural bayou feel the game is trying to evoke. Of course, you've got the sounds of your boom stick, which can be extremely satisfying to hear. And once you grab all sorts of other weapons and explosives, it gets that much more interesting.
As with other defense shooters, you're stationed on one side of the screen, while you keep an eye out for the different things coming your way before blasting the ever loving crap out of them. Your starting weapon in the game is a shotgun, and while you might be able to hit multiple things with it provided they're close enough together, for the most part it's still only able to kill things one at a time. And that's where your explosives come in, with lovely things like sticks of dynamite or the ever-popular Molotov cocktail.
As you progress though, you'll upgrade from your stereotypical swamp boom stick, to the rather un-stereotypical (and, truth be told, atypical) Uzis, M16s, or even the dreaded minigun. Of course, to get those bad boys, you'll have to work for it, and it'll take quite a lot of critter-blasting to be able to get the number of coins needed to unlock those weapons ahead of time. You could, of course, just wait to get them by progressing through the game, but where's the fun in that?
And that about wraps it up, so if you're looking for some fun defense shooting gaming, then go on and download yourself a free copy of Swamp Attack!
