Humans are invading the jungle and harming the birds. You need to help these feathery creatures escape in this thrilling game called Nimble Birds! The task is simple; to help the birds fly in each level and reach the exit safely. You need to make them fly little by little to avoid the machines created by man. Aside from that, you also need to avoid the floating grass and falling boulders. Land on the checkpoint to save up your current distance but you need to pay first. You can also use other birds to play with by using gold coins.

You hit a button, and something happens. You let go of the button, and something else happens. Doesn't really get much simpler than that. The thing with simple games though is, that as simple as they are, they can still manage to be a whole lot of fun, and that's just what Nimble Birds is all about.

Nimble Birds is a game patterned very much like Flappy Bird. You control a bird, and it flaps and travels around. Unlike Flappy Bird though, it's got a whole lot more graphical panache and slightly more gameplay than the grand daddy of the flappy games.

As aforementioned, the game looks a whole lot better than others in the genre. You've got graphics that actually look professionally done, not just the little doodles and Mario-esque pipes seen in other games. Also, rather than the inexplicably hanging pipes hovering over equally inexplicably placed standing pipes, you've got actual terrain here. And that terrain is all quite beautiful, from the foreground action that's jam-packed with things trying to kill you, to the serene and picturesque background lulling you into a sense of complacency so that the foreground can do its job of killing you.

What's more, the animations are rather pretty as well. The bird that you control actually flaps its wings when you tap the screen, and it'll keep on flapping realistically (or as realistically as can be done with a bird that's nothing more than a blob on the screen with wings) as it falls. The different parts of the environment also change, with the spinning gear blades of doom, the spiky balls of death, and the glowing wisps of (surprisingly) not-death.

As with the other flappy type games, the controls are really, really simple. You tap the screen, and the bird you're controlling will flap and gain altitude. When you don't tap the screen, the bird will drop and, of course, lose altitude. By carefully controlling your tapping, you can guide the bird through the environment. Be careful though, leave the bird falling too long, and it picks up speed making going back up harder. In turn, tapping the screen too rapidly will make the bird climb too fast, something that's bound to happen when you over-correct for a particularly nasty fall.

While you'll never really be able to get a straight line going, you will be able to guide the bird relatively well with enough practice. And you'll need that practice, as there are (as aforementioned) a whole bunch of stuff out there that's ready to kill you. Unlike in Flappy Bird, you also have a ceiling to deal with. Both the ceiling and the floor are inexplicably spiky (replacing the inexplicably spiky pipes, I suppose) and touching any of them will spell doom for the little birdy. On a plus note though, you can land on certain tree stumps to provide a checkpoint, and to give yourself a bit of a breather after some particularly heart-pumping flapping.
