Sega will often team up with American acts to make their music for Sonic, but it’s normally a rock band. In this case it’s Cash Cash, an EDM group (I know one song from them and I think it’s great, for what that’s worth). The lyrics aren’t anything to write home about, but almost as basic as that is the composition. It is strictly in the key of D major, I’m fairly certain there wasn’t an accidental even once. The harmony is also mostly I, IV, and V chords, the most structural and defining chords of the major scale. However, the song milks that simplicity for all it’s worth. In the context of musescore, this arrangement was the first time I saw fit to use “Clean Guitar”, the default Electric Guitar sound I’ve never used before because the rest are all much better, but it does work here.
