400- BST Bug Types vs Radical Red: Who Will Win: One Butterfly or a Team Grass
I am doing a relatively casual playthrough of Pokemon Radical Red only using Bug types that have a BST (Base Stat Total) of 400 or less.
Erika.... kinda sucks. I am mostly talking about her team being good in most playthroughs, except she has one vital weakness, a random butterfly you can get in the early game. Let's begin.
Rillaboom:
This man sets up terrains, uses two Grassy Glides, and dies. He will outspeed with Grassy Glide but that is it. 2 Air Slashes take him out.
Meganium:
Normally a threat, she has been neutered by a random Butterfly with Air Slash. Since she is not going to use either of her Stab moves to try to go for the kill, Triage is obsolete.
Mega Venusaur:
This is Threat Number 2.... and it's gone. This thing can't outspeed a random butterfly from the backyard. Normally, its bulk is a possible fear due to its moveset but like my brother in Christ, I spammed Air Slash for a few turns.
Meowscarada:
This one is finally a threat. Triple Axel and Knock Off and it can actually outspeed. I lowered its speed by a Silk Trap and then took it to Sash with a Bug Buzz. It then finally ended this random butterfly I found in the backyard.
Then got killed by another bug type.
Hisuian Electrode:
This thing literally killed my revenge kill, used Explosion and died.
My rules are simple:
MGM Mode
Base Radical Red Difficulty
Bug Type Pokemon Only
All Bug Type Pokemon must have a base stat total equal to or less than 400.
