Here is my full playthrough Pinball Dreams on Snes done live on IGTV. The goal was to get the top highscore on each table

REVIEW:
If theres 1 game that truly brings the warm comforting hit of home computer nostalgia, its Pinball Dreams. The Amiga was such a vital footprint in gaming history, its sad its largely forgotten. The library is so impressive, most gamers aren't even aware the origins of the console ports they champion!

It's been some years since I played this on an Amiga, but memory suggests its a pretty honest port. The console handles the speed & physics respectably & that incredible musical score is also recreated well, tho the SNES's more orchestral sound does serve to dampen the impact some, especially for that jaw dropping intro compilation

Despite the positives, sadly the occasional very janky ball physics, predominantly around the flippers, is all too apparent. Too often the ball has micro speed adjustments or tiny bumps when travelling down the flipper, unforgivable for a pinball game tho equally forgivable given it was the same in the original plus I just love this game so that trumps all!

Despite the goal, I feel embarrassed to call
It quits with such pitiful scores. A younger me would be laughing, alas theres many more games still ahead for this challenge.

Ignition:
Tho the simplest table it's probably the hardest! The outer lanes seem wider? It also has the most unfair ricochets! Faults aside, Ignition has always been my favourite. The music & style will forever raise those neck hairs, regardless of pain it causes me attempting a high score. This time was no different registering the longest to gain the highest score

Steel Wheel:
By far the fastest table & also the highest scoring. I disliked it as a kid, largely because of the music, tho I actually enjoy both now. Theres a real therapy to playing this one

Beat Box:
The music is great in this one & the many ramps render it quite forgiving for new players, it was my fav as a kid but due to its ease I actually rank it last place now

Nightmare:
Surely most peoples fav? Edited slightly to conform with Nintendo censorship, but just as fun to play as ever. Even after completing the highscore I was determined to continue on for a better one, a sign of a great game? I think so!
