Here is my full playthrough of Super Morph for Snes done live on IGTV. Annoyingly my cart crashed 4 levels from the end. because there's no password or save that would have meant starting the entire game again. luckily the game lets you choose which world to begin on so I was able to simply replay the final world. Sadly this meant that despite beating all the stages in the game, I was robbed of an endcreen.

REVIEW:
-Despite feeling distinctly like an Amiga game in design & gameplay, as the inclusion of the word 'Super' suggests, this was infact a snes exclusive. The colourful, charming graphics & quirky mechanics certainly bare the hallmarks of many things Amiga, but does the quality match? With such a rich library of excellent puzzle platformers to contend with, its surprising this one holds its own rather well!

The premise is suitable strange; some overly enthusiastic professor has mislaid 36 gears across 4 regular hangouts of his (can you trust a man who passes his time down in the sewers?). It's your job to recover them. When I say you, I mean a gelatinous ball with the ability to morph from a bowling ball to a bouncing ball to a raindrop & a cloud, each with it's own skillset.

Learning the pros & cons to each morph forms much of your success throughout the early levels, whereas utilising them efficiently in increasing complex environments forms the latter. The nuisance in ball control gets pretty tricky late on requiring lots of environmental interactions & plenty of hazard avoidance. For a puzzle game difficulty generally remains on the fun side of frustrating, with much of it rendered quite easy when you know how. However the final 2 worlds up the challenge considerbaly & by the end, some of the stages are unbarelably long, boasting many different routes & horrible obstacles like navigating blind! The lack of a password really gets the blood boiling here!

Given theres no inventory to complicate programming, the exclusion of a password is unforgivable! Its a long puzzle game which demands alot more than your average gamer is willing to commit. With the gameplay spread across 4 worlds, a password for beating each seems obvious. Alas without it, even insane masochists like me were robbed of that joyous single page endscreen thanks to my game crashing 4 levels from the end! My snes had been on for 11 hours tho...

Mercifully you can choose which world to begin on, so starting a new game only meant me replaying that final world, Its no exaggeration to say they'd have been some serious tantrums otherwise! Still I want an endscreen DAMN IT!
