We have an update for AMD's answer to DLSS, FidelityFX Super Resolution AKA FSR. Thanks to Corteks (link below), we have a release date for FSR. Coreteks was also able to give us a few details on the anticipated upsampling technology. With Nvidia's DLSS 2 showing huge improvements vs the original implementation, and upsampling becoming ever more important with ray tracing becoming more prevelant, will AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution be able to compete against DLSS? Today, some specifications have leaked for the upcoming Intel Xe HPG DG2 GPU. Thanks to Igor's Lab (link below), we not only have specs, we also have a list of Intel Xe GPU SKUs. This is our first real look at the stack for Intel's entry into consumer graphics, on both the mobile and desktop side. Of course, the Intel Xe desktop graphics cards are highly anticipated, due to promising leaks on the performance and features of the graphics archtitecture. With the shortages hitting both the AMD RDNA 2 RX 6000 and Nvidia Ampere RTX 30 cards hard, Intel Xe entering the market in a competitive state on both the hardware and driver side is going to be crucial.
