AMD's RDNA 3 architecture (likely the Radeon RX 7000 series) will release next year, and my original 2.5x performance increase for RDNA 3 is possibly now outdated, with new information from a well known leaker as well as my own sources stating that the figure is now increased for AMD's new silicon.
The highest end RX 7000 series SKU will feature 160 compute units, as AMD will employ chiplets for its RDNA 3 based Radeon cards. These chiplets for Navi 31 and Navi 32 will connect to an IO chip and offer huge amounts of performance on the next generation cards.
RDNA 3's graphics IP is GFX11 and Navi 33 will be a monolithic chip unlike the higher end SKUs. Navi 33 will feature up to 80 Compute Units and out perform the Radeon RX 6900 XT.
RDNA 3 is thought of as evolution of RDNA 2, with focuses on improving software, RT parity to nvidia's Ampere and Lovelace architecture, and of course by this point AMD will also have its FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) running too.
