Recorded talk from GIC'20.
Games are populated with myriad of characters. When using an image of a person one should be cautious not to get entangled in a time and money-consuming litigation; there is a risk that an “owner” of the image can halt the distribution of a game. It is therefore best to know, from the sketch, the rules of using an image of a person, a real one, including publically known or historical or fanciful. In the presentation we will discuss general rules for use of an image of a person, when a consent for use of an image is not required and why securing rights to tattoos can be crucial.
