My name is Fabian and today I am going to show you an app-review of Stubies. Stubies is a new puzzle title, which took the hearts of the App Store players by storm. The game managed to reach the number two spot of the iPhone-Charts in a very shot time with an impressive 4.5 stars user-rating. What Stubies is all about I will tell you in this review. The game is available for iOS for the price of 89 cents .

The main characters of the game are responsible for the name of the title: The Stubies. The cute and colorful creatures run madly across the screen and it is your job to prevent a total chaos. With simple swiping gestures you can influence the direction of Stubies. Your task is to unite Stubies with the same colour. If there are two samecolored stubies who reach each other they dissapear in harmony and you get points. In each level you have to reach a certain number of points. But beware: The Stubies are not very clever. They run straight forward and would fall of plattforms, if you do not prevent them. If they fall of a plattform you loose one of your precious lifes and you get a less good level rating. The developers were extremely creative. They managed to keep the game experience interesting throughout the whole 60 levels: there are obstacles in the levels, exploding Stubies, descenting Stubies if you double tap them, pitted levels and much more. Each level can be played in portrait mode as well as in landscape mode, just what you like more.

My conclusion:
Stubies is one of those unique games that should be in every collection. The cute Stubies do not only features a lot of charme , but also lots of ideas. The title is besides all of the countless boring Flappy Birds and Angry Birds clones a very welcome and creativ addition to the App Store. The graphic style is unique, the controls are super easy and the levels are intelligent and challenging. What makes the title even more likeable is the fact that there is no big publisher behind the game, but two indie developers from Spain that simply have programmed a great app. Who likes an original puzzle experience should definitely buy Stubies. -
