Automation is a business strategy game, by Camshaft Software, about running an auto manufacturer between the years 1946 and 2020. The game has been in early access since 2015, and I've been experimenting with it since 2022, with great enthusiasm. This means that it has been stuck in early access for longer than many games have been supported. Still, the game is enjoyable enough that I still hope that Camshaft finish it. In the meantime, it's one of the better early access games available.

For this video, I played Automation in Windows 10, and my understanding is that the game is, for now, primarily for the Windows platform. Obviously, if you know of other ports, you can mention them in the comments.

I recently decided to do a series on early access games after I encountered several that I liked in a relatively short period of time. I haven't been able to fully do these games justice, as I've been very busy in my life, and not really free to do as much with YouTube as I normally do (as I'm not a professional YouTuber). However, I wanted to do some playthroughs anyway, albeit with far less editing than usual. You'll probably find the production clumsier than most of my other videos, and this is why. I hope to eventually do reviews of these early access games:

One more disclaimer I should add is that some of the information in these videos is already out of date, given regular updates to these games. Most of the footage in these videos was originally shot in September of 2023, with the games being in their current status as of that month.
