Battle Circuit (Arcade) CO-OP Playthrough / Saving the world requires a big reward. Nothing for free
Battle Circuit (1997) by Capcom is an outdated representative of the beat'em up genre, which was rather unimpressive in its period of release. While arcades were already dominated by rather nice fully 3D games like Die Hard Arcade or even Tekken 3, Capcom decided to release Battle Circuit....... maybe if it had taken place 2 or 3 years earlier the game would have gained more recognition, and so unfortunately it is a rather forgotten representative of the genre. Personally, we have nothing against the game, as it plays nicely and has a decent presentation. But that's really all that can be said about this game, as it simply isn't really good at anything. The only thing that really stands out is the variety and design of levels, which partly saves this game. As for the graphics and animation, it's just ok, but for the year 97 it's pathetically poor. Just compare Violent Storm or Metamorphic Force from 93, games that are 5 years older look much better, not to mention the quality of animation. In the game we play as bounty hunters with superpowers who try to stop a very dangerous computer program called “Shiva” from leaking. , which could threaten world order if it fell into the wrong hands. The variety of the five available characters deserves praise, as their design as well as the list of attacks differs their gameplay so much that it's worth considering who to play. What's also cool is that as we gain experience, after we finish a level we can buy new abilities that enrich our characters with new moves or more stamina. It's a cool addition that somehow makes the game stand out from the competition. When it comes to the storyline or boss fights , we were somehow not carried away by the vision of the creators here. It's just not our vibe :P We'll probably never return to it, but we're also unlikely to admit that the game is bad. It looks as if work on this game had been halted for many years and suddenly, due to a lack of other titles, Capcom decided to dust it off and release it for a quick buck. And it turned out the way it did, which is a shame, because if the game had been released earlier it probably would have been much more accessible. Average at best, you can play it, but we can not recommend it.
