Here we go!~ The finale is approaching, but first...an enemy and boss rush! Yes, the final level, like so many other final levels in games, is a sendoff to just about every single enemy we've encountered thus far, aside from Irenic, who are never really fought on foot anyway.

"Daddy?" Say what now?! And we're off in search of Cereza again. How is it she can get ahead of us and avoid all these Angels?

Fearless and Fairness right off the bat, huh? This...could have gone better! And here we see something kinda annoying that I think is only in this stage...if for whatever reason you can't take the enemies out they can just...reset themselves. So I had to fight them AGAIN for no real reason. You'll see it in the other half to this video, but the game doesn't "count" me as beating Verse 1 here...yeah...

Oh hey, a secret I just figured out the other day! Yeah, that's sneaky, putting a chest back there! What's worse is that Verse 9 is located here, an Alfheim gate that only appears after you do the other 8 verses first...which means a LOT of backtracking for this. Its an annoying one too, one that I can't complete. Ah well...

Flaming Ardors? Ugh...yeah, there's a lot of flaming enemies in here for no good reason, but we'll put up with it! You'll see I get a little confused here, thinking another encounter was right after the Ardors...don't worry though, we'll get there...

Brave time! Oh, so THAT'S how Beloved are made! Eww....Yeah, see, if you beat them fast enough you can outright prevent this, but I figured it was neat enough to show off...the game itself kinda freaks out if you prevent this though. They almost didn't expect it!

You REALLY want to take that Angel Weapon here if you can cuz....time for Gracious and Glorious! That weapon helps even the odds a bit more...and then there's a weird issue here that I also don't remember seeing elsewhere...enemies even with their health bar emptied won't go down unless you do one final hit. Before, I've often finished off an enemy with a combo and then switched the target for the Wicked Weave and both have died but you see here that it...didn't really happen here.

I whiffed with the one Angel Weapon against the Joys, but I redeemed myself a bit with the ending to that Grace and Glory fight! I gotta say, Gracious and Glorious are WAY scarier, so I'm over my Grace and Glory phobia! And now we'll never fight them ever again!

And here is the Verse, Verse 8, that makes me loathe this Chapter. Here's Temperantia once again...the FOURTH time the game has recycled him. I'm all for reusing assets in interesting ways...but a long, drawn-out turret sequence is not what I had in mind.

Thankfully, in practice for this stage (practice makes perfect for this one!) I discovered a winning strategy. When the missiles Temperantia shoots at you get close, just dodge. The game gives you a button prompt to get out of the turret, but dodging works just as well. If you're lucky, Witch Time will be active and you can get back into shooting, but its kinda finicky about getting you back on the gun.

I consider this a very, VERY lucky run though. See, in addition to his missiles, Temperantia will also punch turrets when his health is low enough, as you see here, and that can HURT. Plus, as we see just as he's dying, he can charge up a giant explosion attack that HURTS and is also incredibly tricky to dodge. We're talking getting-to-the-other-side-of-the-room-to-dodge tricky. Got a Platinum though, that's nice.
