The final Bonus Video is upon us! Bayonetta has a LOT of costumes she can partake in, and I held off until now when it came to showing them all off! You can only gain these by buying the Super Mirror in Rodin’s shop, and that only unlocks once you beat the game. The Super Mirror costs 100,000 Halos, and all costumes afterwards also cost that much. For the most part, all costumes are shown off in cutscenes, as I show off here, though certain ones will look weirder, especially whenever Bayo summons her Infernal Demons.

Of course, for those that don’t want to go through all that, there are the fragrances that Rodin sells in the Gates of Hell for most of Bayonetta’s weapons that change her default outfit if equipped. For Kulshedra, she gains thigh-highs, long gloves and a mask on her face, finally making her the dominatrix she always wanted to be! Durga’s gives her flaming (or electric) cat ears if on her arms and a matching tail if on her feet. Odette’s modifies Bayo’s outfit to make her look more like an ice skater, while Kilgore gives her a yellow scarf, cowboy hat and sunglasses to complete all of those references to Apocalypse Now. Not seen here, of course, is her fragrance for Saifung. It alters her outfit to match Bruce Lee’s iconic outfit from Way of the Dragon.

Onto the other outfits, there’s not much else to say. Most are pretty fetish-y for the most part, like the gym outfit…some are cool, like the nun outfit she wears at the beginning of the game, as well as her flashback attire and more Umbra clothing besides. The “Witch” attire is very uh…g-gulp…lovely. I should stress that Jeanne has her own versions of these outfits, I believe, but you have to buy them separately. I wish I could show ‘em off, but…yeah know…with the sucking…

But we’re not done here! With its port to the Wii U, Nintendo granted PlatinumGames permission to make special Nintendo outfits, as the credits for this game already spoiled. Unlike every other costume, these have some more interesting changes. Peach and Daisy’s costumes offer aesthetic changes. Halos are replaced by Coins from the Mario games, and Bowser’s limbs are summoned for Wicked Punches and Kicks. Does that mean Bowser’s an Infernal Demon? And Bayo bended him to her will? Wow, she one-upped Mario big-time!

Samus Aran gets her armor adapted for a costume, surprisingly enough! Bayo’s Scarborogh Fair when fired with the Y button are replaced with Samus’ Arm Cannon, though I don’t believe the power is any different. You’ll notice she replicates Samus’ poses when firing in the air. What dedication! You can also flip her visor up and down by holding Down on the D-Pad. Even in cutscenes!

Lastly, probably the “best” costume would be Link’s tunic! Funny story, Nintendo of all people encouraged Platinum to let Bayo show a little more skin off with this one, as she originally wore a shirt under the tunic. They wanted her to be true to her character! Like the princess dresses, Halos are replaced…by Rupees! Furthermore, there’s a familiar jingle when Bayo opens up a chest, as well as when she uses a key. Whenever you equip Shuraba, it’ll change models and become the Master Sword….even if it still has the same moveset as Shuraba…It’s a nice touch though! One other interesting thing, as she also has Link’s shield, you’ll be able to parry attacks even if you don’t have that Accessory equipped! This technically frees up an Accessory slot for something else, which is pretty handy!

That’ll do for costumes, and with that, our coverage of Bayonetta. I’ll have one video coming up that’s been a long time coming, and after that, we’ll go right into Bayonetta 2! See you all then!
