Back at the Gates of Hell...when are we gonna stop with that? Soon, I promise, as we've bought all of the Techniques in the game, and buying Accessories, Costumes and the Alt Weapons requires too much grinding to really showcase here. I'll still likely get the weapons and all of the Moon Pearls Rodin's got though.

A Sea of Stars, huh? I have to admit, this is one of the prettier stages...and also a doozy of one! What's with multiples of five being tough in this game?! Time for Bayo to have more hazy flashbacks....wait, Jeanne and Cereza? WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?!

I've seen enough hentai to...yeah, Bayo kinda beats me to it. We're still getting off to a rocky start with THREE Joys once again... Hey, I didn't do so bad here, huh? AND I got to show off that Torture Attack again...though the camera angle is still weird. Oh well!

Man, that one Angel really ate it, huh? That's a perfect ten landing if I ever saw one though. :P Time to get through some more Combo Cogs as we easily make our way through cannon fodder. Now, I missed a treasure chest here. Its way up high on the arc leading to where I got to that last Combo Door. I didn't miss that Alfheim gate though...even if I wish I could... Yeah, I think this might be the most unfun of all the challenges, at least that I know of. I'm sure there's an Accessory or something you can do to make these easier but as I see it now the only way to get Magic in these is to dodge or taunt, preferably her long taunt. I'm not even sure if I was close to beating this or not...

Heh heh...I totally whiffed with that flame tornado....that's a weird small Verse sandwiched in-between two tougher ones. The game's constantly weird like that.

YOU! I killed you! This can't be possible! Its unclear if these are replicas or resurrected Cardinal Virtues, but I'm sure its the former. Yeah so uh...Kilgore does well when dealing with Temperantia! I backtrack here partly to get more free magic, and partially to show off more of the pretty space sky.

Ew! More tentacles! And more Enchants! Its been a while, friends! See what I mean about weird, short and "easy" Verses just peppered in? But that's nothing to complain about...no, Verse 7 is what I'm here to complain about.

This is the Verse that made me hate Kinships more than anything. These three things stay in place and just take potshots at you...if I had recorded my practice run of this on my normal save file....oh God... If you fall off too, its even worse as you take big damage, and have to climb back up while being attacked. Its just a constant flurry of claws, missiles and beams! And yet somehow I did OK here...

We have TWO chests to reward us for this crap, though one requires Crow Within to obtain. That's why I bought it, really! Oddly enough, its the only Technique I used in this video that I just bought. I honestly just forget about Umbran Spear most of the time, and Portal Kick...well, I'll display it later on but its very situational and more flash than substance.

Now, I know what's coming up, so a change in weapons is in order... Dodge more sex tentacles and we come across even more statues of Fearless and Fairness....so of course we encounter them, right? WRONG.

Meet Gracious and Glorious, one of the few angels in the game to not get a cinematic introduction. They're just...there. They are gold and white variants of Grace and Glory, and while I got SUPER lucky and utterly decimate them before they can hurt me...they can be a major threat. For one, you can't get Witch Time off of most of their attacks, so you have to bring your dodging A-game, though thankfully they can still be staggered by attacks.

After a...very oddly-placed cutscene where we see what Cheshire and Cereza are up to, its time for one last verse...and I really lucked out here, despite flubbing it up at the beginning. These golden Braves slowly add to the pool of holy water...I guess? This whole encounter makes little sense to me. After you take them down, you have two golden Inspired to tackle...and again, I got SUPER lucky. Otherwise, it can be hard to pin them down. Keep the hurt on them and you can knock them out of the sky, and unlike a VERY similar encounter from earlier in the game, the Sage and Witch statues are active now, so slow down time to help even the odds!

Cereza's calling for help just beyond this very convenient portal! Hold on, Bayo's a-comin!
