Block Block [ブロック ブロック] Game Sample - Arcade
Block Block is an old Capcom arcade game that you could essentially call another "Breakout" variant. Still, the game looked decent enough and sounded decent enough (for the kind of game it was) and in the arcades, there were two versions (as far as I am aware) --- One that used a "paddle" and one that used a more standard joystick/controller...but the paddle is considered to be the better way to play to control paddle sensitivity. As you can see by how short this video is, I can agree with that; trying to control the platform is very difficult with a standard controller, as the platform is "unruly" and hard to move properly. Block Block was also later playable on Capcom Classics Collection Vol. 2 for PS2, Capcom Classics Collection: Remixed for PSP, and Capcom Puzzle World, also for PSP...and you can probably play it MANY MORE WAYS, because Capcom ports stuff CONSTANTLY...so do not expect what I said to be accurate.
Anyway, you get a few power-ups, such as extra time, a magnet to "grab" the ball, special orbs that spell "EXTEND" and give you a 1-up, and more...the game is a bit interesting because the more times the ball hits the platform, the smaller it gets, but you can repair/lengthen the size of the platform as well.
I had to upload something to break the tedium and being busy with so many different things...enjoy!
