BZCC Total Command Mod Gameplay - Mission SS13: The Three Beacons
It was sad, but the SEGA Classics (both Genesis/Mega Drive and Dreamcast games) will live on in my Steam Library, and I'll revisit them as you request it. Now let's get back to the regular schedule. The original description of this video is shown next:
When the Main NSDF forces on board the NSS Justice finally arrived to Titan, the Bio-metal War over there was a total mayhem. The NSS Liberty and the NSS Freedom were destroyed, the NSDF (Black Dogs) forces deployed on the Saturn's moon were totally obliterated and, upon landing, only three Distress Beacons were detected to move forward and further assess the situation. There is a CCA Base nearby, which was originally intended to be the objective for Grizzly 1, but rescuing the NSDF Survivors turned out to be the top priority, so a defensive stance was adopted, at least while the rescue was underway. Nevertheless, the Soviets in the area don't look overly enthusiastic to attack the recently landed Americans, like if they were worried about something else out there. What could it be, if they had the Fury Technology already at their disposal to counter it? Or did they?
This mission has many differences when compared to its original version. The first one is that you can't build the APC straight away because of this mod's mechanics, but it makes things easier for the player, as the Nav Beacons were the Survivors are don't appear until you build the APC, allowing to properly build and fortify the base, as well as to capture Bio-metal Pools and build the offensive units required for the task. Then, after the APC is built, everything revolves around that unit. The second difference is a wider variety of enemy units, which really makes engagements more colorful. And the third is that you don't have to take the APC back to the Recycler for the last rescue, but it autodrives to an Extraction Point placed somewhere else on the map, and you must protect it at all costs. I would say that, because of not having to rush to build the APC and rescue everyone on the map, this version is easier than the original version, although you must have a strong enough force to escort that APC during the second part of the mission. Otherwise, you won't beat it.
Will the NSDF manage to rescue the Liberty and Freedom Survivors and piece together what happened, and how?
See you in the next video!
