BZCC Total Command Mod Gameplay - Mission DW14: Lifeline
Having received the news of another Chinese Base capable of building a new Portal, the Black Dogs on Ganymede had to make a final effort and strike it down before their enemy collects enough resources to build the structure. There doesn't seem to be enough resources in the base surroundings for that task, but the Black Dogs Command had an additional Intelligence Report about a Shipment on its way, loaded in a Panda APC. Therefore, the Black Dogs also have to intercept this vehicle with whatever it takes. The stakes are too high to proceed otherwise. However, even if they can't build a new Portal, the Chinese have deployed a very thick line of defense by laying Mines outside the Base Perimeter and on every access route, deploying Adders around all their Bio-metal Silos, building numerous Stab Towers and Flash Towers inside and outside the base, and establishing patrols with Cloakable Offensive Units. And that's without considering any counterattacks they might attempt in the meantime and that they will fight to the very end. Destroying this base will definitely prove what the Lieutenant is made of...
This mission is very hard. In fact, the version in the original game was also very hard. However, I think this version is harder, because the Chinese use even more options for their counterattacks. They launch Day Wreckers, send Archers and make a smarter use of their Cloaking. I didn't mention the Yeren squads because they were sent in the original game too, but they still cause a lot of trouble. Maybe the Shipment interception was easier here because the Adders deployed outside the base didn't have their weaponry modified, unlike the original version, but even so, the Chinese resume their attacks as soon as the APC gets destroyed, so I'm not sure how to compare the difficulty of that part properly. Despite this, I think this version is quite faithful to the original mission, so the modders did a very good job here.
Will the Lieutenant find a way to destroy to base and deny once and for all the Chinese hope for building a new Portal?
