Chrono Trigger Enhansa #41 - Spekkio's New Power
5Chrono Trigger: Enhansa Edition is a hack by inuksuk that rebalances things such as characters, equipment, techs, and so on to provide a harder challenge overall.

Almost ready to enter the Black Omen, but there's one last challenge to take on and that's with our magic teaching buddy Spekkio.
Spekkio's second to last form, a recolor of the fused Masa & Mune, appears with someone in your team at lv40-98. We won't be seeing the last form sadly, but that's no big deal when this form of Spekkio is one of the harder fights in the game.
Right away, Spekkio launches his strongest attack, an AoE non elemental magic attack that inflicts chaos. The damage...well, take a look at my equipment loadout at the start. That was the bare minimum I needed just so everyone could survive the attack.
Past that, Spekkio follows a very simple pattern of Fire 2, Dark Bomb, Ice 2, Dark Bomb, then Lightning 2. None of this hits anywhere near as hard as the AoE opener, but Spekkio throws in one more final wrinkle before looping back to the AoE opener...killing someone instantly with the power of rainbows.
The way I'm setup here, Magus is the one doing the majority of the damage. Marle & Frog can apply buffs, only attacking whenever either one isn't needing to dispense a heal.
When it comes time to see who gets instantly deleted by the insta-kill, keep as many characters of your team ready with an action. As long as Marle doesn't get deleted, she can easily pop a Life 2 on the fallen hero. Clearly that did not happen for the first couple of times said insta-kill was used though.
After a long battle, Spekkio gives you some nice rewards in the form of three Soda Tabs and ten Elixirs.
