Starting off in the Nu merchant's hut. Sometimes when entering the hut, it'll wander outside, letting you claim the Soda Tab he was body blocking.
Next, we'll be hopping on the Epoch and returning to the End of Time. Upon taking flight though, something mysterious appears over the ocean. Magus seems to remark that it's the Underwater Palace...and it kinda is. However, Lavos gave it a huge makeover, turning it into the final dungeon of the game, the Black Omen.
Could you go there now? Most certainly. The first boss though can and will destroy those that are unprepared.
For now, we need to follow up on Magus's claim that Gaspar may know a way to bring back Crono. Perhaps that old man in the End of Time might know where to find him.
Upon conversing with him there, he seems to know about Gaspar, but doesn't go farther then that. The team takes a small break to go converse with Toma in Spekkio's room. The Black Omen appearing is the trigger for everyone to pick up their 4th and final stat boosts.
If you try to leave the End of Time now, the old man stops you. He hands over a mysterious egg which he calls the Chrono Trigger. He says you should converse with the one who made your Epoch, then the big reveal comes forth...shock & awe, the old man is Gaspar.
In any case, the team heads to 2300AD to talk with the Nu who has Belthasar's memories. He mentions that Death Peak is where Crono could be brought back, but the team's going to need a clone of him. Luckily, a certain Nolstein Bekkler can provide it. He's usually located where a festival is happening. There just so happens to be one in 1000AD at Leene Square.
One timeskip later, the team's outside Nolstein's tent. You do need some Silver Points before you converse with the magician. Easiest way to farm them up is to kick Gato around. He's located to the west of where you first ran into Marle.
Upon chatting with Nolstein, he wants to play a game. Basically, you just need to copy whatever the clone he summons does. If you get at least 5-6 successful copied actions, you'll get the clone for a hefty sum (30k gold). The more successful actions you perform, the lower the cost will be. I just made sure to have 30k gold from selling junk during the timeskip.
Once you've won your clone, you can pick it up at Crono's house up in his room. One slightly awkward conversation with Crono's mom later, you can claim the clone and return to the Nu in 2300AD.
With the clone in hand, the Belthasar memory infused Nu says you can now climb Death Peak and activates one final program that'll help you climb the mountain. He then asks for you to turn off the Nu and grant him a peaceful slumber. He's done his work. Now it's time for us to do our part and bring Crono back.
Next time, the team climbs Death Peak.
