Tusker, developed and released for the Commodore 64 by System 3 in 1989.

"The legendary elephant’s graveyard is the greatest undiscovered mystery of The Dark Continent…The hazardous quest for it’s discovery has cost the life of many an intrepid explorer, one of whom was your father. As his only son, you are curious to uncover the secrets that are so violently guarded from the outside world. You now feel complied to succeed where your father failed."

A fairly short (once you know what you are doing) action adventure game from system 3. 3 levels of item collecting, a few which are needed to progress and gold especially to finish the game. The enemies are fairly easy to kill and the difficulty comes from having to get it all done before your water (time limit) runs out. In level 1 you can replenish your water by stabbing a cactus once you have the bottle. In level 3 you get water from the water fountain. Level 2 has some annoying mystic floaty stuff that will sap your health away and I have not found a way to replenish water.

Once you have the gun, throwing knives and sling shot, the enemies are no longer a problem and you can walkthrough the game. Only the gun will run out of ammo after a few shots. It's not a bad game, fairly colorful if a little blocky but it is carried by a nice soundtrack from Matt Gray. There are plenty of differences when compared against the Spectrum version including the water acting as a backup health supply instead of a timer.

At the end of the video I let the ending music play out which is also the Loading/Title Screen music. There is no high score table and the game just resets the score and loads the desert stage if continuing. -
