Devlog #15 - First 3D Platformer Game Complete!

This video documents my progress using Unreal Engine 4 to finish building my first platformer game within a 3D environment. The platform blueprint consisted of the switch mechanics and platform looping. Every time a platform was stepped on, a random platform will switch on. The switch mechanic could activate its own platform loop too.

I also learned how to reset the player's position by creating a trigger volume and using SetActorLocation. Special thanks to Underfunded Scientist for leading me to this suggestion!

And good news, I also learned how to reduce the game's MASSIVE file size. The size was predominantly contributed by starter content textures, which took up almost 500 MB! You can also tick 'Create compressed cooked packages' under Packages of Project Settings to further decrease it, by about 100 MB. My 1mpbs upload speed is still insufferable but now it's at least easier for you guys to download! :D

So if you guys would like to have a go at this game just for laughs or any of my other games, you can download them from the links below!
