Making A Start Menu Through Widget Blueprints | Devlog #21 - Unreal Engine GameDev
Devlog #21 - How to Make A Start Menu (and a small intro to a widget switcher)
In this episode of Unreal Engine 4, I'm making a start menu for my classroom game (no name yet!) using a widget blueprint and a widget switcher. I don't go into much detail on the switcher as the focus is mainly about making the buttons and basic functionality.
The buttons themselves act as commands to trigger events such as opening the game level, checking the settings or options, and quitting the game. There's quite a lot you can do in there so check out the video to see what's up!
My videos are inspired by Youtubers such as Dani, Make Games with Katie, Code Bullet, and Sebastian Lague. If you don't know who they are, I highly recommend checking them out!
