Gameplay from the rather colourful 90s platformer Croc, which was also released on PC and PS1. Croc was largely a reskinned Yoshi after a development deal with Nintendo went south. Nintendo's lost was Fox Interactive's gain and Croc was one of Argonaut Software most successful games. While the controls are a little bit dated the 3D worlds seen in the game still holds up well thanks to its cartoon look.
Croc is a surprisingly large game packed full of stages, secrets and boss fights. Many of the Gobbos, Croc has to rescue are hidden in some very sneaky places. Encouraging the player to explore the world of Croc, while Croc does have plenty of problems for an early 3D game. It's the closest game to Super Mario 64 on Sega Saturn. Indeed it's been suggested Nintendo borrowed a lot of Argonaut Software own design without give them credit. Croc got a sequel on PC and PS1 in 2000, it was due to be ported to the Dreamcast, but sadly was canned. After Argonaut Software went bust Croc vanished from the gaming scene, who owns the IP now is any ones guess. It would be great to see our crocodile hero return one day.
