This video comprises my attempt(s) at completing 'Doom 2 In Spain Only' Map 04 'El Foco' from a pistol start, with no prior knowledge of the map, a.k.a. a blind run. There is a commentary throughout the video, mostly recorded live as I played.

'Doom 2 In Spain Only' is a vanilla-compatible megawad for Doom 2 made by AD-79, Alfonzo, Breezeep, Esselfortium, Jimmy & Tarnsman and the latest version (September 2021) can be downloaded for free from:

This is the second level of the megawad I have played 'blind' and Alfonzo's use of poison caused me much consternation and, ultimately, the need for a second attempt starting at 22:55. Exploring maps I don't know is a skill which I hope to work on with these blind runs and in the meantime I need to accept that my awful mistakes hopefully make for entertaining content.

The search for secrets is something I feel committed to, but I do have to reserve the option to give up in cases where things are too cryptic for me to discover and searching stops being any fun. I wasn't willing to give up on this map, and my stubbornness had rather tragic results!
