This video comprises three demos, including one success and two short clips of outtakes, for the challenge of scoring all monsters, items and secrets from a pistol start on Scythe's Map 31 'I Dunno Torn' while sustaining no damage, whatsoever; a.k.a. 'No Damage Completion'. I also challenge myself to utilise one of 4ShockBlast's suggested methods for using SR50 to grab the 'unreachable' BFG, which appears to be impossible to reach due to a teleporter line.
Scythe is a popular 32-map vanilla-compatible Doom 2 megawad completed in 2003 by Erik Alm and Kim 'Torn' Bach (who made Map 31). It can be downloaded for free from: https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/scythe
Thanks again to 4ShockBlast for teaching me the ways of SR50 line-skipping --- messages we exchanged are included in the video with his kind permission.

But for a certain BFG, this could have been a thoroughly pleasant and not-too-hard No Damage challenge, with quirky music and a dungeon-themed environment. However, when I knew that THAT linedef could be skipped, I couldn't bring myself to give up on learning how to do it.
Just learning which keys were required for SR50 was the first step --- I went on to change my mind a few times on the keybinds, before settling on the S,D,F (left hand) and G (right hand) arrangement. My second choice was to use the same keys but pressing two with each hand, but it wasn't as consistent.
Switching from PrBoom+ to DSDA Doom was crucial because when I failed the manoeuvre, I could analyse whether I SR50'd correctly from a bad starting position, or wrongly from a good position, or did everything wrong. I could focus my practice then on SR50 and the setup alternately, gaining confidence slowly but surely.
Despite hours of practice, there is another large hurdle to overcome --- being able to consistently pull off the skip quickly in order to incorporate it into a speedrun of the No Damage challenge. You'll have to watch this space to see when, and if, that happens.
