DoomShack by DoomKid has helped me find obscure wads along with Doomwadstation, OneManDoom Reviews, and of course checking the I.D. Archive of Doomworld, There's so much to look at but it's a real thrill and relaxes me.
Looking up 2003 wads, I had been trying to find for the longest time this wad which has a broken download link on DoomWadStation, It's by FearKeeper (Andy Leaver) who contributed to all 4 Community Chest wads and his own No Fear For Life wad series. This wad, R.A.V.E. was released on May 27th 2003.
There isn't really a story to R.A.V.E., Rather its a punchy Episode 1 like techbase that pushes you to try to find secrets, you'll want to as the difference between two difficulty settings is night and day with CACODEMONS in the first room on hurt me plenty with just a pistol, and Hey Not too Rough being a bunch of imps in the first room, The overall wad I did two runs to showcase the dramatic changes Andy did for this wad, It's a short one but R.A.V.E. has good quality to it's name.
