This is a creative take on Tetris using Egg based characters and filled with egg based puns. It reminds us a little of Tetris Plus the arcade game. Eggo Mania itself adds in a lots of new ideas, power ups and blocks, making it very different to your normal game of Tetris.
The aim of the game is to escape the rising water and be the first egg to reach the hot air balloon at the top of the stage. You do this by building a tower made up of blocks, build solid and it won't fall over, but leave holes in your building and it may well all come crashing down around you. You can jump down to fill gabs in the building and this stops it fall down. This also prevents you just throwing single blocks down on top of one another to climb to the top.
There's a range of colourful cartoon egg characters that do remind us a bit of the classic game character Dizzy. Lot's of modes and content to unlock make this a very complete package and one of the better puzzle games of this generation.
