Exit Fate #43 - Returning to Harlinton
Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

Time to return to Harlinton. To do so, we'll need to get to Bayside, but the town isn't available via Deke's teleporter. Luckily, Sally will be more than happy to ferry you over in her boat.
Before that happens though, make sure your team, including your entourage, is all males. Additionally, two of those males should be Cid & Johnny.
Cid gets used right away when a quick detour to Credence is in order. At the inn, local guitar player Teej is in a bit of a rut after Tiffany basically ditched him. With Cid in the party, he'll insist Teej show off his very best in playing music. Teej then jams out one hell of a song, impressing Cid and inspiring Teej enough to hook up with Daniel's army. Too bad he's mediocre all around!
After hopping on Sally's boat to Bayside, there a quick jump over to resident bumbling soldiers Trevor & Sick. They're unsurprisingly not exactly pleased to know Daniel's coming back. Trevor seems to have an ulterior motive for being in the Kirgard army though as he mentions that he & Sick have a "duty to fulfill" and that there's "only one thing we can do".
Once control is back to Daniel, he's arrived in Bayport. Not much is different in the shops, but there are two characters to recruit here.
First up, there was a dog in town when we first visited it. With Johnny in the team, you can speak to this dog to find out he's Johnny's loyal mutt and lucky charm for gambling. His name is King and immediately joins the team.
King's at least decent unlike Teej. Weaker than Klaus, but has more bulk, especially in magic defense. Still can't equip armor though!
Also, bonus points for King's weapon being his teeth. Yes, the blacksmith will forge them up which is pretty hilarious honestly.
Next, head to the inn just north of the save point. Inside is one person of interest, Petra. She's clearly pro woman and won't let men think she's a weakling or useless. If you have a full team of males, she'll prove that point by joining the army.
In all honesty...she has every right to claim she can be as useful as a male because she's quite good. A bit slow perhaps, but good accuracy and, surprisingly, skill that's just a bit lower than Shiro or Angel. Good hp, defenses, and strength thanks to her weapon attack level.
When you're done picking her up, throw as many mages as you can feasibly put in your frontline and load them up with tier 2 attack items.
Harlinton is due northwest of Bayport. Save your game and head to the inn where there's two people to talk to. There's a man sitting at the western most table who mentions an old castle he visited in the Mayfall region. When Daniel asks him the name of the castle, the man responds with Avalon. I believe there was someone who was looking for the place by the name of Nomad. If we regain access to Highland, we'll want to give him the information. Daniel also promises to let this man know about what he finds inside.
The other person of interest is on the second level. Back in Ansee, we met a rather irritated individual by the name of Mai. She's here and...not much better in the mood category. She was trying to open a magic shop in town, but they already have a good selection of spells it seems.
When Daniel requests her services be used at his castle, she seems willing, but wants to have a spells only battle. Not strictly so, but her physical defense is high enough that you won't be doing any damage. Magic is the way to go. Thankfully, her hp is really low so two or three tier 2 spells will bring her down.
After the fight, she agrees to become Elysium's magic supplier, having the same rules for updating her wares as Bartolli does. I'll talk more about her in the next video.
Leonius is residing in the building with two soldiers outside its entrance to the northwest of the inn. Head there after checking out the magic shop since its wares have updated.
As you enter the building, the scene shifts over to a new place, but with a familiar face in Brunhild along with some fresh faces. Clearly they all are planning something big, but what that is precisely isn't known yet. Local stuck up jerk Ash seems to enjoy it though.
Back at Harlinton, there's not much time for introductions (but a little jab at Bruce & Leonius counts) before the team gets interrupted. Turns out someone's attempting to cause a ruckus in the forest to the north...and they sound just like the...ahem..."Caretakers". We'll have to get over there pronto and deal with them quickly before they anger the wrong person.
More next time!
