Exit Fate is a role playing game made in RPGMaker by SCF. With 75 characters to recruit, a mixture of typical turn based combat and war battles, and an engaging story, the result is a very Suikoden-esque game.

The latest version of the game can always be found here:

Did some grinding primarily to get Angel up to speed. Her stat spread is very similar to Shiro's which is pretty nice. Only thing to watch out for is her low physical defense, meaning she's best in the middle row with someone in front to protect her.

Now then, Fading Dream is located to the southwest of the castle so make your way on over when you're prepared.

At the entrance, there's a few people, but they don't have much to say besides that there's monsters inside that we need to take care of. Simple enough!

Enemy wise, there's some weak ones in the Brain Leech & Light Stalker. The latter though has valuable Mend-Alls to steal so your designated thief oughta be taking every chance possible to steal from them.

Then, you have the other two monsters that can be threatening. Lurkers have Tentacle Whip which hits a column, meaning low hp mages like Myst or Midian can get pasted if their column gets targeted by two Tentacle Whips back to back.

Finally, Catheads thankfully only ever show up solo because these normally docile feline furballs decided to become masters of magic with strong tier 2 magic, decent physicals, and high physical defense & hp. They do have a nice pair of shoes in the Fur Sandals to steal with 2 pdf & 2 mag for 1 weight. Pretty much the best footwear for your mages right now.

The dungeon's pretty much a linear line to the end with a couple detours for loot and one easy switch puzzle tossed in. Said puzzle kicks in once you pass through a door requiring you to push a pillar onto a switch to keep it open. Just a bunch of walls that move around as you step on switches...and I think they create a small hidden hole in the vertical walls as you see when I seemingly pass through a wall in the northwest to reach a Darkstrike chest.

Once you reach the room with a save point and a switch that opens two doors when stepped on, the northeast one leads to some more treasure, but lucky me did not know this as the northwest door instantly throws you into a cutscene upon passing through it.

The northwest door leads to a dead end...and the monster causing the most trouble for everyone outside. Looks like a boss fight to me!

This boss is the Wyvern with its two wings being separate entities that can be targeted and destroyed amusingly enough. Said wings have steals like a copy of Photon Beam and a Brass Badge, but nothing that's extremely important to grab. The Wyvern's main body itself though has a valuable Diamond Dust that your thief will want to steal.

As for attacks, the wings don't do much besides normal attacks and buffing the main body with High Turbulence (haste, meaning more turns for it) and Protective Scales (shield, meaning reduced physical damage on it).

As for the main body, it has Cerebral Claw to hit a frontliner for some damage and a chance of inflicting amnesia, Photon Beam for some high light damage to any one target, and Full Wing Beat to hit everyone for around 60-90 damage (I suspect the main body loses this move when its wings are crushed).

Everyone should just focus their attacks on the main body, even after it gets the shield buff. With Myst & Midian firing off Shadowcasts, the wings will die on their own without any extra help. May want to have some Silver Dusts on hand to reverse some of the damage from Full Wing Beat as well. Easy fight once the wings are gone and the buffs fall off the main body.

If getting another copy of a top tier AoE healing item from stealing wasn't enough, you'll get another Purple Herb as a drop once the boss falls.

After the battle, Daniel asks Angel what kind of person Brunhild. A typical girl as Angel claims, but with a key difference...she was quite protective of Daniel, ensuring he was safe at all times. One must wonder what could have happened for her to be where she is now and how Daniel's mood way back when changed when she left Levier.

One minor timeskip after saving to go grab the two chests I missed in the dungeon, the team's going to return to the castle. Daniel has a big decision to make soon, one that could drastically change the outcome of the war.

More next time!
