A surprisingly quick clear that results from Marth starting quite close to the throne (he's very close to 2-turning too). As one of the indoor maps, it is a place where much valuable treasure can be found. For normal runs, the player definitely doesn't want to miss out on the Warp staff, but a more useless item can scarcely be imagined in our run - we can't even sell the thing! Because of the speed of the clear, we miss out on treasures like the second Dracoshield and the only Secret Book outside of the secret shop in chapter 21. We can however obtain another Master Seal, however unnecessary, from the treasure room in a 3-turn clear by sending a 10 mov unit west.

Hardin finally promotes before the chapter. It's clear that his stats are nowhere as high as Abel's or Shiida's, more of whose level-ups from lv. 1 were controlled. His stats are however sufficient for many tasks he's about to carry out, and in this map he has no issue ORKOing knights with silver lance. Much like other units with access to Class A jobs / female jobs, Hardin prefers Dracoknight, but Paladin is also a valid option, as are Swordmaster and Sniper. Retaining that A rank in lances is top priority, though.

Sedgar is used for high HP in this map, taking on two bishops and a sniper during turn 1 without any risk of death (besides the sniper critting I suppose) thanks to staff support. The bishops drop the most coveted items on the map: a VIP Card and a Fortify staff. The VIP Card is immediately useful for buying weapons in this very map, whilst the Fortify staff, available exclusively to Lena due to her A staves, is an improved Physic staff, essential when multiple allies need recovery and two Physic users aren't enough.

Abel is the one sent to secure us the next Master Seal, who Cain will use to promote as Lena doesn't mind staying unpromoted and using staves for more experience (not that her stats matter much). Using Fortify as a Cleric gives 65 exp at a level close to the cap, for instance. Abel has the stats to double and ORKO enemies like the sniper and the hero attacking him with relatively simple weaponry, OHKOing one of the thieves trying to flee the room.

This is probably one of the few maps where some units who prefer Dracoknight do go Paladin. Avoiding the bow weakness is one reason, but in Shiida's case we really want to proc another speed point, which wouldn't be possible with Dracoknight's cap of 23. Some endgame enemies have 20-21 spd, and 23 AS doesn't quite double them. She also enjoys slightly higher strength and defence growths as a Paladin - her level-up upon killing the boss grants her all three stats we need. In the meantime, Jake levels in strength twice, approaching his cap of 25 more and more with each new map.

The boss is another manakete, this one actually possible to double and in fact relatively slow due to his Magestone weighing him down. There isn't much to say about the Magestone - it still hits like a truck, but the reduced speed on the boss is something we appreciate. Barst goes Berserker to help us penetrate the boss room, having higher than usual crit on that armoured knight on turn 1 and later waterwalking to kill the sniper Sedgar's been chipping for the first two turns.
