First two maps following Orlandu's supposed entrance on the scene. Except, as I've already warned, Orlandu won't be making an appearance in this challenge, but we do have his equips, most notably the Excalibur and the Bracer, former not usable when it's not somebody as a Knight/Ramza as a Squire, though.

Germinas Peak RNG:

15 Ramza - Ninja
15 Crono - Summoner
13 Lenneth - Summoner
14 Mitsuru - Mediator
13 Ryu - Summoner

It it possible to pick up a Vanish Mantle here with Move-Find Item here; I do attempt that with Ryu (who lacks any other movement abilities), but don't bother resetting until I get the rare item. I'm sure we can win without it somehow!

Lots of summoners and those jobs are generally pretty high-end. Sadly, two of the summoners are male so their damage potential is never TOO high - here they seem to have good compatibility against two high Faith Archers so the damage they deliver to these is surprisingly high.

The female summoner is the one who gets Chantage, and I have her try to solo the western part of the map - she doesn't exactly last very long there (in contrast to, say, my Accumulate/Chantage Geomancer who solo'd her half of the map no problem in the previous video). Ramza ends up travelling there and taking care of the enemy.

That said, Ninja access for the first time in the challenge is wonderful, period. No charge time, innate doublewield, and very high damage output - for a lv. 1 challenge anyway.

3 Archers being here means having Arrow Guard on 4/5 of the party members is highly effective. Of course, they manage to connect regardless and occasionally pierce Ramza (who learnt the critically useful Speed Save for the Wiegraf fight, foregoing Arrow Guard).

Poeskas Lake RNG:

15 Ramza - Summoner
15 Crono - Oracle
13 Lenneth - Wizard
15 Mitsuru - Priest
13 Ryu - Oracle

Another undead map, and I get a full party of magical classes! Two male Oracles this time around, so I went ahead and bought one of them an Octagon Rod for 20K (money is still very much an issue) so that he wouldn't be relying on pitiful damage with the basic Black Mage spells.

A very nasty trick can be pulled off here against the enemy Summoner - put a couple of units in her summon range but so that she is unable to target them specifically. Since she's so high-levelled she outspeeds my folks, her AI will recognise that the summon will resolve before anyone in range gets their turn, this can be abused by having a unit outside of that range cast Haste on the whole party - their CT will increase much quicker and they will all get out of the summon range, making the Summoner waste her turn. She's the most dangerous unit here by far, so this is really helpful for eliminating her more or less quickly.

I tried to make things a little harder for myself here and abstain from item usage - namely, using Phoenix Downs to OHKO everyone in range (1-range since I have no Chemists). However, when an Oracle woke up from the dead and charged a Foxbird on my Priest, I couldn't take it anymore and killed it with a PD. He had gone too far! -30 Brave means the loss of 6 permanent Brave points. Probably wouldn't have mattered considering this lv. 1 girl wouldn't be punching anything barehanded, or using knightswords to attack regularly, but I still felt like I was being terribly disrespected there so I paid back with the same.

I like how the Summoner is also really clever and reacts to me trying to finish her off with a Fire spell by going for Carbuncle on herself (it goes off really fast). Too bad she doesn't have the Faith stat to even connect the status! And with the way the Reflect status works in this game, the spell wouldn't have bounced back at me anyway.

Once again, a very nice map to have Arrow Guard on. You even have good dodge against the arrows when charging a spell!
