Final Fantasy IX Translation Analysis - Episode 8: The Morality of Beatrix
The English translation of Final Fantasy IX may be really good overall, but it’s still got a few questionable dialogue changes here and there, and in my opinion this might be the most significant one! In this episode we focus almost entirely on the character of Beatrix, and explore how the English translation may have made her come off as a worse person than how she’s portrayed in the original Japanese script.
