Final Fight One - Game Boy Advance - Intro & Playthrough as Alpha Cody and secrets [UHD 4K60]
Full gameplay longplay / playthrough / walkthrough & trueplay as Street Fighter Alpha /Zero Cody didn't use the rapid punch cheat, but do show the hidden barking dog rewards in the bay area details below. Based on the SNES port of Final Fight Guy, this GBA version restores most of the missing arcade content. It also adds in the ability to play as both the Street Fighter Alpha versions of Guy & Cody and the option to change the colour of the player characters. The intro is tweeted a bit and the game now features talk scenes between the bosses and player characters, each having their own unique dialogue.
Arcade fans may dislike how this alters the flow of the game and they can't be turned off either. The added two player support is very welcome, even if this port isn't able to handle as many enemies on screen as the arcade release. As this is based on the Guy SNES version some of the enemy placements are incorrect compared to the original SNES version. What's interesting is a number of bugs were fixed in the PAL release of Final Fight on SNES, these fixes however were not applied to Final Fight Guy or the GBA version. This includes an incorrect background layer for level 3. This is detailed in more depth on The Cutting Room Floor Website here: https://tcrf.net/Final_Fight_One
As a result, it's fair to say that Capcom could have taken more time to polish up this GBA port. Another minor issue is the lack of shadows for both the Alpha Cody and Guy sprites. Sadly this port doesn't add in the other characters from Final Fight 2 & 3 and seeing as this is using the SNES engine, no reason they couldn't have done that. The Japanese version is uncensored and so has Roxy and Poison in it, where as the western version still used their altered sprites from the SNES version, likely an error this time around by the development team, who just used the original censored SNES code to build the English version.
Now on stage 5 as explained on The Cutting Room Floor, each of the barking dogs in the background grants a hidden reward. To get this reward you must walk right in front of them, then take a single step down and wait. In order the dogs give the following extras:
1. Adds 10 points to your score every half seconds
2. Adds 1 credit around every 20 seconds (supposed to make a sound)
3. Rapidly refills your health bar
4. Adds 1 extra life, around every 30 seconds (Max of 9) (Sped up in video)
Very handy secret to know.
