Front Line Famicom / NES CRT TV Playthrough asmr
2Released 8/1/1985, Front Line for Famicom is a port of Taito's 1982 arcade classic. This top-down run-and-gun war game is one of the earliest in the genre and its influence on titles like Commando and Ikari Warriors is obvious.
The port faithfully reproduces the gameplay of the original while making the difficulty ramp up more slowly than the arcade version. The arcade version had better sound, but I like the graphics better in this version. The tank warfare with a small and a large tank to choose from makes this game shine. If you thought Combat on Atari 2600 was fun, try this game! Front Line would have "killed" had it made it to the NES.
I am considering a playthrough to be beating the Hi Score. I played on an original NES with a Game Genie adapter (see Shorts) to allow for playing a Famicom cartridge. I am using a NES Advantage controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
