Star Force Famicom / NES CRT TV Playthrough asmr
Released 6/25/1985, Star Force for Famicom is a port of Tehkan's (aka Tecmo's) arcade vertical-scrolling shooter. The version released on the NES is considerably more difficult, so I prefer the Famicom version. Although this is a decent shooter, it is easy to overlook in the vast catalog of Famicom/NES games. The manual for the NES version is confusing, the weapons are sub par, and the music becomes annoying very quickly. That being said, as a bullethell game it is reminiscent of Recca, so worth playing if you like a challenge. Personally, I would rather play Xevious over Star Force.
I am considering a playthrough to be beating the Alpha Stage. I played on an original NES with a Game Genie adapter (see Shorts) to allow for playing a Famicom cartridge. I am using a NES Advantage controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
