Gameplay of Gratuitous Space Battles at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit with max graphics settings.

This game was earlier today released in Steam's Linux Library. I installed it and give it a whirl in this video. I must say, it works off the bat no hassle!

It automatically detects my system's ability to play it, and sets everything to enabled and at 1920x1080. Very well done.

Gratuitous Space Battles, to me, feels like an RTS where you first plan your fleet and then let the A.I. play it out. With the fast forward speed in-game, it reminds me of the sims. For a 2D game, it looks really nice when in action and feels very alive.

I had to disable "Unredirect Fullscreen" in Compiz Config Settings Manager to record this game, otherwise the recording would flicker. No performance loss though, so it's all good.
