This video shows VDrift gameplay natively on Full settings at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.

VDrift is a FREE 3D racing game available to Linux gamers via Playdeb or from VDrift's website.

VDrift is still very much a work in progress, but it's been coming along nicely over the years. I've long wanted to make a video for this game, and so now here it is!

I encountered many problems and bugs in the game. The most noticable are:
1. Unable to choose prior selections to F1 car. [Crashes game]
2. Unable to reverse car and handbrake doesn't function.
3. F1 vehicle parts block the car from moving [stuck].
4. Garage is not a playable map! No idea why it's in the list...

You can check out the FPS at the bottom of the game at all times. I also try out the Update feature, which lets you update selected cars and tracks to their latest versions.

I had to disable "Unredirect Fullscreen" in Compiz Config Settings Manager to record this game, otherwise the recording would flicker. Oddly enough, I didn't see any performance loss with it on or off.
