This video shows FTL: Faster Than Light gameplay natively on Full settings at 1920x1080 (fullscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10 64Bit.

FTL is a 2D action-paced game, where you move from sector to sector trying to escape the Rebel fleet who are on your tail.

Now, FTL doesn't have a solid storyline. Instead, you play through sectors and get random events in each sector's points.

As you can see in this video, I struggle even on easy settings. This is because of the unpredictable nature of the events. You can lose crew members, if you choose to risk an unknown event encounter. Or you may reap great rewards.

I had to disable "Unredirect Fullscreen" in Compiz Config Settings Manager to record this game, otherwise the recording would flicker. Oddly enough, I didn't see any performance loss with it on or off. Then again, I have no way to show actual framerate.
