How to Add your Capture Card to OBS on PC (Source Tutorial)
Adding a capture card to OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) on your PC is essential for capturing and streaming video from external devices like gaming consoles or cameras. Here are the steps you can follow:
Download and Install OBS Studio:
If you haven’t already, download and install OBS Studio from the official website: OBS Project.
Connect Your Capture Card to Your PC:
Connect your capture card to your PC using the appropriate cables (usually HDMI or USB).
Make sure your capture card is properly powered and recognized by your computer.
Create a New Scene in OBS:
Open OBS Studio.
Click the “+” icon under the “Sources” section to add a new source.
Name your scene (e.g., “Capture Card”).
Add the Capture Card as a Source:
Within your newly created scene, click the “+” icon again in the “Sources” section.
Choose “Video Capture Device.”
In the properties for the video capture device source, select your capture card from the dropdown menu.
Adjust any other settings as needed (e.g., resolution, frame rate).
Position and Resize the Capture Card Window:
Click and drag the capture card source to position it on your screen.
Resize the window as desired to fit your stream layout.
Start Recording or Streaming:
Click “Start Recording” or “Start Streaming” in the bottom right corner of OBS to begin capturing video from your capture card
